Inaugural seminar on “The Status of E-Learning Development in Ghanaian Universities”

INVITATION TO A SEMINAR ON E-LEARNING DEVELOPMENT IN GHANA

The Association of African Universities (AAU) is pleased to announce its inaugural seminar on “The Status of E-Learning Development in Ghanaian Universities”. This one-day seminar will be hosted by the AAU Secretariat in collaboration with Chalkboard Education in Accra.

We especially invite E-Learning Directors/Coordinators, Distance Learning Directors/Coordinators, Educational Technologists and any faculty who are keen on E-Learning development to attend. The Seminar will be held in Accra, on Thursday, 8th September 2016, from 8:30am to 5pm at Airport West Hotel.

The objectives of the E-Learning Seminar are to:

  1. Begin to build a professional network of E-Learning practitioners based in Ghana
  2. Provide the platform for sharing and learning from case studies of successful E-Learning projects being carried out in Ghanaian Universities
  3. Contribute towards the collection of data on the status of E-Learning in Ghanaian Universities
  4. Explore future research themes in collaboration with E-Learning practitioners based in Ghana

E-Learning has become a necessity for universities in Africa. It promises exciting ways of engaging students; flexible methods of teaching and learning; and creative ways of reaching under-served communities. If implemented properly E-Learning can result in quality and equity in our education systems.

The AAU has been championing innovations in collaboration with its member universities since 1967. We believe that there are opportunities for us to work together to jumpstart and energize E-Learning initiatives in African Universities.

The cost of participation is GHC400 per participant and will cover lunch, teas and contribute towards the venue costs. AAU looks forward to the participation of your staff.
