The Association of African Universities established the AAU Television Station (AAU TV) to disseminate real time news and information on higher education-related issues, including but not limited to higher education policy directions, science and technology, continental agendas and plans for higher education, research and new findings.
Since its establishment on April 6, 2018, the AAU TV has been streaming its programmes live on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pg/AAU67/), YouTube (Association of African Universities) and on its website (tv.aau.org).
To better serve our viewers through multiple platforms, the AAU TV is now broadcasting live on Satellite and Digital TVs. AAU TV’s free-to-air transmission on satellite covers the whole of Africa and beyond.
To access AAU TV on free-to-air decoders, we request our stakeholders to rescan or ask their installers to reset their television sets to the following:

For those on Digital TV (DTV), accessing the AAU TV involves the single step of selecting Scan or Autotune on your TV. The TV set will search and scan for the AAU TV in a process which takes a few minutes to complete.
The AAU TV presents viewers with a range of exciting programmes which feature interviews and discussions on topical issues, including – human resource issues, general health issues,agricultural tips and guides, documentaries on universities in Africa and many more. Our niche is the coverage of educational issues all over the African Continent.
Members of the AAU are encouraged to share relevant content with the TV team for further broadcasting across the continent. This is one key membership benefit availed to all members who are financially up to date.
