Call for Participation – African Private Sector Summit on Doing Business Under the AfCFTA

The Association of African Universities in collaboration with the Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, various regional chambers of commerce, and the Wealth Masters Group is organizing an African Private Sector Summit dubbed, ” Righting the Wrongs of Doing Business in Africa”. The summit, which comes off from March 8 -12, 2021,  is the first of a series of summits which considers issues relating to “Doing Business under the African Continental Free Trade Area”.

It is pivoted on the four key elements of the Free Trade area which will create the biggest economy, i.e –  Natural Resources – Green energy adaption, tourism, organic farming; Human Resource – predominantly young population; Underdevelopment that creates a myriad of opportunities; and Diaspora readiness to invest in the continent.

This conference is designed to bring all key stakeholders to deliberate on these critical success factors with the view to coming up with agreements on an implementation plan, accountability structure and assessment mechanism for all adopted projects. Presenters and participants will be drawn from all sectors of society to ascertain comprehensive representation and wider transference of conference commitments.

  1. Dear AAU Manager,

This site has much information on many aspects of University Education. My main interest has been staff exchange Programme – Is there a Form to fill online? What is the criteria of choosing where, when and how to go to specific universities such as Makerere, University of Gold Coast Ghana etc?

I am in the process of applying for sabbatical from my University, but I need to know where I should apply first before my application is processed – any help in this matter/.

Hope to read from you soon.

    Yours sincerely,

    Prof. Paul Kamau Mbugua
