This is to notify all higher education stakeholders that Dr. Violet Makuku’s contract with the Association of African Universities came to an end effective December 31, 2022.

We also want the general public to know that the Association of African Universities is not connected with the ‘Global Quality Assurance Association’ which was set up by Dr. Makuku and has designated herself as its Director following her exit from the AAU.

This clarification has become necessary because the contact database in the custody of our former staff has been used to invite our members to Quality Assurance meetings that do not represent the Association of African Universities.
