On behalf of the University of Nottingham and the Association of African Universities (AAU), we are delighted to invite you to virtually join the opening celebration of the AAU Europe Regional Office, a new division of the Association based at the campus of the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. The Europe Regional Office’s role is to centrally coordinate AAU’s existing and emerging partnerships across Europe, facilitating cooperation between AAU member institutions across the European academic community.

This launch event is being held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the University of Nottingham, UK, featuring a showcase of collaborative research and the projects of the Office, plenary discussions concerning the future development of higher education across Africa, and a formal opening ceremony.
