Press Release – The University of Nigeria, Nsukka Launches a New Online Master’s Degree in Public Administration

Accra, Ghana (June 7, 2022)   – A new Online Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) has been launched by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in line with its target of ensuring a functional, globally competitive, and responsive higher education which meets the needs of society.

The Master’s in Public Administration, which will commence September 2022, is an intensive 24- month program that will emphasize the evaluation of the theories that inform debates about the management of public services. It is offered by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka on the AAU-eLearnAfrica Learning Management System, a premier online learning platform by the e-Learn Africa and Association of African Universities, which is championing the transformation of online education in Africa.

The Online Master’s Degree in Public Administration is targeted at all stakeholders including African civil servants and leaders in development. The MPA seeks to equip current leaders and students with advanced theories in public policy for sustainable development. Studying the Online Master of Public Administration will provide students with the ability to apply the latest theoretical knowledge to their careers in real-time and offer the opportunity for students to build a practical understanding of public management and governance.

All interested students are invited to join the online Masters in Public Administration Program to deepen their knowledge and to access the numerous opportunities offered by the Program, for their advancement and generally for the advancement of their countries and Africa.

About the University of Nigeria, Nsukka

The University of Nigeria is a top federal-controlled public university located in Southeastern Nigeria. It is commonly referred to as UNN. The University was founded in 1955 and on October 7, 1960, was formally opened for academic operations. It has three campuses – Nsukka (the main campus), Enugu, and ItukuOzalla, all in Nigeria. UNN has 17 Faculties, and 102 academic Departments and offers 106 undergraduate programs, 211 postgraduate programs.

About The AAU-eLearnAfrica Learning Management System

In 2016, eLearnAfrica entered a partnership agreement with the Association of African Universities (AAU); one that would expand online learning opportunities for students enrolled in the AAU’s over 400 member institutions and other universities not yet under the umbrella of the prestigious AAU. The target was to make educational opportunities available to about 10 million African students. In pursuing this agenda, the AAU-eLearnAfricaLMS was birthed and launched at the 15th Quadrennial AAU General Conference of African University Leaders, on 7th July 2021.
