WEST AFRICA BIODIVERSITY AND CLIMATE CHANGE PROGRAMME
Request for Application (RFA) for ‘‘Supporting ECOWAS Students’ CITES Research’’

The West Africa Biodiversity and Climate Change Programme (WA BiCC), is funded by USAID West Africa and implemented by Tetra Tech ARD. This project was initiated in May 2015 and is being implemented over a 5-year period ending in 2020.

Tetra Tech pursuant to the authority contained in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended, and in accordance with USAID Contract No AID-OAA-I-13-00058/ Task Order Number AID-624-TO-15-00002, is authorized to provide Grants under Contract (GUC) to meet its program objectives. To this end, WA BiCC is seeking applications from qualified institutions/organizations to manage a grant aimed at “’Supporting ECOWAS Students’ CITES Research’’   over a period of 12 months.

Who may apply: Any recognized academic, applied research, or conservation institution. Also, eligible are related organizations/institutions registered and operating within the West African sub-region and specializing in forest conservation as part of their core mandate.

Organizations must at the minimum:

  • Demonstrate an in-depth experience in similar research work. .
  • Experience and success in working with international donors.
  • Capacity to manage international donor funds using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and/or USAID rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Must have it operations based in the West Africa region.
