SANUSOUTHERN AFRICA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY – Academic /Faculty Positions
The Southern Africa Nazarene University [SANU], a Private Christian University based in Swaziland, invites applications for Lecturer, fulltime (tenure track) faculty positions, who shall be responsible for teaching, supervising students’ research, conducting research and community service activities in the Faculties & Departments indicated below:

1. DEPARTMENT OF MIDWIFERY (1)
Position: Lecturer
Faculty:    Faculty of Health Sciences
Responsible To: Head of Midwifery Department
Remuneration:     The University offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualifications
1)    Master’s or PhD in General Nursing & or Midwifery Sciences.
2)        At least 1 year of teaching experience in a college or university setting.
3)    Registered with the Professional council in Swaziland or in country of recruitment.

2. DEPARTMENT OF SPECIAL & INCLUSIVE EDUCATION (SIE), (1)
Position:     Lecturer, Visual Impairment
Faculty:    Faculty of Education
Responsible To:     Head of Special & Inclusive Department (Hearing Impairment)
Remuneration: The University offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications and Experience
1)    Master’s or PhD in Special and Inclusive Education
2)        At least 1 year of teaching experience in a college or university setting.
3)    Registered with the Professional council in Swaziland or in country of recruitment.

3. DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES
Position: Lecturer
Faculty:    Faculty of Health Sciences
Responsible To: Head of Department Medical Laboratory Sciences
Remuneration: The University offers a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications
1)    Master’s or PhD in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
2)     At least 3 year of teaching experience in a college or university setting.
3)    Registered with a recognized professional council in Swaziland or in country of recruitment

Key Competencies and Experience
1)    Academic credentials that meet requirements for tenure at Southern Africa Nazarene University
2)    Good communication and presentation skills
3)    Excellent computer skills
4)    Good skills in pedagogy
5)    Good interpersonal skills
6)    Ability to priorities and meet deadlines
7)    Ability to work under minimum supervision

Expected Characteristics
The prospective candidates should have some knowledge and experience in teaching students at college or university level. They must be dedicated to excellence in teaching with strong commitment to professional and ethical standards. Must also be a committed Christian with ability to model Christ-like discipleship.
