ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF ZAMBIA
The University of Zambia (UNZA) is the first public institution of higher learning which was established by the University of Zambia Act no. 66 of 1965. Currently, UNZA is regulated by the Higher Education Act No.4 of 2013, as read together with the Higher Education (Amendment) Act No. 23 of 2021. It has two campuses both of which are situated in Lusaka. The main Campus is situated on the Great East Road, 9 km from the Lusaka City Centre while the Ridgeway Campus is on John Mbita Road, 4 km South East of Lusaka.
